We've made a great deal of progress on the campus expansion! At the work day on June 21, we had over 100 people out working to bring this project to fruition. God surely blessed us with some great weather, and it was fun to see everyone working together towards a common goal. Not only did we make progress on the CX project, but we accomplished some needed property maintenance, as well. People were out mowing, weed-whacking, pulling weeds, clearing bark dusted areas, etc. Here is some of the progress we've made so far on the CX project:
Sights and Sounds
- Two projectors have been installed to project on the side walls of the stage
- We have painted the areas used for projection with a special paint better suited for this use
- The projection rooms have been framed and will be sheet-rocked
- A new sound system is ordered and expected to arrive by the end of July
- A new video camera has been installed
- TV monitor has been installed in the lobby

Walking trail
- The walking trail itself is finished! We now have a 1/2 mile loop for people to walk or run
- Two sitting areas along the walking trail are in place, complete with benches that we built ourselves
- Plants were planted alongside one of the sitting areas
Baseball Field
- The baseball field was graded
- Rocks were removed from the field
- The outfield is roto-tilled, leveled and ready for hydro-seeding
- Fencing is installed in every area but the tall part of the backstop
- Irrigation and drainage systems are installed
- Concrete and benches for the dugout are in
- Sandstone for the infield was spread
- Stairway leading down to field level has been built

West Wing Expansion
- Plans drawn up by an architect and submitted to Clark County
- PERC test completed
- Preliminary meeting with the county
- Application has been made for a permit from the Health Department
Coming up next we need to work on the soccer fields, complete the baseball fence, grade the second ball field in the east part of the property and install the east field's backstop.
If you are available to help with any of these projects or with organization, please contact Bruce [4].
