We believe God’s love and the foundations of faith are most prominently displayed when we help others through good deeds.
Join us on Sunday, April 30 at both campuses, as we love our local community through service projects.
We are having an informational meeting for anyone interested in being at Team Leader or helping as a Project Coordinator on February 26 at 1:15 in the Loft Room on the second floor at the Heritage Park Campus. Please let us know if you’ll be there.

Why are we doing this?
Very simply put, God’s love and the foundations of faith are most prominently displayed when we help others through good deeds and in times of need.
In Matthew 25:31-46, we see that those who believe are those who have “helped the least of these”. Matthew 5:16 says that our good deeds brings the glory of our Father to others.
1 John 4:16 says “God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God.” It’s our hope and desire to live out this love in our community. We believe that helping others through service, these projects on April 30 will help show the love of God to our community.
How do I sign up?
Registration will open March 5. You can register in the lobby on Sunday, or online. If you plan to serve with your Care Group, you can all sign up at the same time together.
I’ve never done anything like this before. Where do I start?
The first thing we need you to do is register! You have two options for our service day, either pitch a project to do with your Care Group, or friends or ask us to assign you to a project. We will have a project for everyone! Please note that many of our projects will not require any particular skill – just a willing heart and a pair of hands. We even offer “Light Duty” and “Family Friendly” projects. You will have a Project Leader to guide your team along the way.
Can kids come?
Yes! Please let us know when you register that you would like a “Family Friendly” project, and please let us know the ages of your children so we can put you with an appropriate project. If your child plans to serve at a different location, you will need to turn in a waiver.
Where will projects be located?
Most of the projects will be located in the Vancouver area (maybe a couple in Portland).
How long will the projects take?
Our hope is that each of the projects will take two to three hours. You might want to bring a few snacks, water and definitely pack a lunch for your family.
How will I know what project I am assigned to?
Our hope is for people in the different groups (Care Groups, Men’s and Women’s Ministry groups and our High School and Middle School groups) to come up with projects to do, and that the people in each individual group would be involved. If you aren’t a part of a group, don’t worry, we will have projects for you! Each team will get an email the week before with their project assignments, gathering departure time and other project specific information.
Can I sign up if I am not part of a group?
Yes! All are welcome and anyone can sign up. If you have specialized skills (construction, carpentry, etc.) or tools and equipment (power tools, painting supplies, etc.) you are willing to use, please let us know!
I have limited abilities. How can I help?
When you register, let us know that you would either like a “Light Duty” project or a “Senior Friendly” project. If you let us know a little bit about your restrictions, we will be able to help you get into the right project. If your abilities keep you from being able to serve, you can make a donation to Love Vancouver.
