Homeless Outreach
Sharing a warm meal and the hope of Christ
“Whoever is kind to the needy honors God.” Proverbs 14:31
Summit View has partnered with Liberation Street Church to reach out to the homeless population in downtown Portland. We serve approximately 250 meals to the homeless once a month during the year. During the winter months we also bring gently-used clothing, coats, gloves, hats and toiletries to distribute. In serving this population we demonstrate we care for and desire to serve others. Through this outreach we have built relationships and earned credibility. Some have prayed to receive Christ. Some now attend Liberation Street Church.
Next Opportunity: Saturday, June 16, at 9:30 a.m. You may sign up at the hub on Sunday mornings, or just show up!
