Compassionate Care Ministry
Counseling Ministries
- pastoral counseling
- The nature of this ministry is for prayer, encouragement, and in general, to give spiritual guidance as the individual is in search of answers. Complex matters may be directed toward the professional staff.
- professional counseling
- Our professional staff specializes in certain problem areas. They have been selected from specialists in the community who have a commitment to help people and view this as a ministry. We have built an ongoing relationship with them to ensure the quality of your care. There is a fee associated with our professionals.
- accountability groups
- Our desire is to strengthen the effect of professional and pastoral counseling by creating discipleship groups. These one-on-one relationships will bring accountability to the process as well as support for the individual. We view this as highly important to the healing process and the Christian growth of the individual.
Action Teams
- benevolence
- Our desire is to give help to people in need who are a part of the church or in the community. Whether their need is physical (food and shelter) or spiritual, we want to be there for you.
- mercy team
- We have a group of individuals who will make visits to people in their home or hospital in cases of illness, death, or newborn babies to offer support or help. In addition to this ministry we provide meals when needed, clean and service in the home, and in general be supportive during crisis.
- technical assistance
- We have people in our body who have been blessed with the skills of using their hands. This ministry centers on auto and home repair.
- community service
- Our ministry provides concentrated food drives, clothing and bedding help, home repair, yard work, and any other activities that will demonstrate Christian love to the community.
- support seminars
- We offer special seminars to teach practical principles for everyday living problems. Classes include budgets and financial concerns, marriage enhancement groups, boundaries groups and more.
Prayer Ministry
- organized prayer meetings
- These meetings occur on a regular basis and are designed to intercede for the Church as well as the community. Each group is directed by a prayer leader.
- intercessors
- We have individuals in our body who have a special call to intercede. Intercessors will be identified and released to pray.
- church ministry
- We have a group of people that pray for and minister to people. Usually, this takes place after the morning services and during special ministry times during the evening services.
- visitation
- Often there is opportunity and need to visit homes and hospitals for the purpose of praying for people. We have a team of people who are available to make those calls.
